Rick has been into music production from the age of 8 where he routinely took apart noise making machines while trying to alter their sound. Later his musical curiosity led him to learn how to play guitar. After gaining some skills he spent most of his musical time playing with bands such as Hydrogen, Dispenser, Entropy, and Helium Nucleii.
It wasn't until around 1992, while at a grateful dead show, that he became familiar with electronic techno music. Following his passion for computers, mathematics, music, and community, electronic music became a natural progression influencing him to the purchase turntables and start spinning records. It wasn't long before geekin' out at the decks replaced geekin' out on guitar. First it was Progressive, then Breaks, House, and now a tendency toward quirky deep techno and tech house.
